Middlesex Habitat for Humanity of Connecticut’s “A Brush with Kindness” program helps preserve local homeownership by partnering with families who are struggling to complete essential repairs to their homes.
Program staff, volunteers, and homeowners, put on their work boots, grab their hammers, and working together, make the repairs needed to provide homeowners with a safe and decent place to live. “A Brush with Kindness” program uses the same Habitat qualifications which are in place for the Habitat house selection process.
The Community Foundation is thrilled to support “A Brush with Kindness” program and Middlesex Habitat for Humanity. Together, we have the ability to help families fix their homes and improve the quality of life in Middlesex County.
We also thank Sharon and Bill Griffin and the Griffin Family Fund for providing a grant and inspiration for the “A Brush with Kindness” van and for helping to spread the word about “Good People Doing Great Things” through the Community Foundation of Middlesex County.
