365 Fund Welcomes New Members

Philanthropy is as simple as $1 a day – $365 a year. The idea is simple. You give $365 – a dollar a day – to make our community better. You pool those daily dollars with others. Then you decide together which organizations you want to receive the money.

365 (365) Fund does just that – 365 brings individuals and businesses together with two simple goals: to learn partners_poughabout the nonprofits working in our community and to pool resources to make grants supporting programs and services.

What makes 365 different from other charitable giving? You do – individuals and businesses networking with one another, bringing a broad range of interests and passions to the group, and determining together what grants to award each year.

Riz and Brinkmanns365 welcomed three new members this winter – Pough Interiors, Stephen and Alison Brinkmann, and Rosario “Riz” and Patti Rizzo. They join friends, neighbors and colleagues who are interested in the needs and issues facing our communities and are finding ways to address them.

Since its establishment in 2011, 365 has pooled member contributions and awarded $11,400 to Middlesex County nonprofit organizations. The Fall 2013 grantees are the Adam Stanton House and General Store Museum in Clinton, Essex Historical Society, the Essex Land Trust, and a collaboration between MARC Community Resources and Oddfellows Playhouse.
