CFMC accepting nominations for Local Leaders, Local Legends awards

News

At the Community Foundation of Middlesex County we are so fortunate to be surrounded by “Good People Doing Great Things”.  Every day we are reminded that everyone in our region truly cares about our friends and neighbors and where we live, work and play.

Late last year the Community Foundation inaugurated its Local Leaders, Local Legends recognition program, awarding the Sherry and Herb Clark Beacon of Philanthropy Award to two individuals, Arthur Director and the late Willard McRae, who have been leaders in the community, supporting our local nonprofits and CFMC itself in a myriad of ways to make Middlesex County a better place for all.

Now it’s time to do even more.  Now it’s time to honor those right in our back yard who make a difference – and we need your help. We ask that you take a few minutes to think about an individual, an organization, or a business that should be recognized and thanked.  Think about those that you believe are Local Leaders and Local Legends for activities which are far above what would be expected. Think about those Leaders and Legends and please submit a Nomination Form.

We wish we could accept as many nominations as you’d like to send, but please understand that we ask you to limit your nominations to no more than one in each category and no more than three in total.  (It’s hard, we know, to narrow the number down with so many great people in our area!)   We ask one more thing. Please keep your nominations confidential so that we can all enjoy the surprised look on the faces of those selected as this year’s Local Leaders and Local Legends.

The Fact Sheet (available HERE) outlines the categories and lists the basic qualifications for eligibility.  We encourage you to submit your Nomination Forms (available HERE) as soon as possible but no later than May 15, 2016.  Honorees will be notified by July 1 and will be honored at a ceremony late July.
