Make new friends, but keep the old… you know the song. Here at Community Foundation, that’s what’s happening on our board!
Andre McMillian was elected to his first term on the CFMC Board at its December meeting. Andre is the Director of Domestic and Aftermarket Business Development at Pratt & Whitney. He has a host of responsibilities which include identifying new business opportunities for the aerospace industry as well as customer communications. When he’s not hard at work, Andre enjoys time with his family in East Hampton, where he has strong ties to his community. Welcome Andre!
Originally elected in 2006, former Board Member Deborah Moore is graciously returning for a new three (3) year term and is currently serving as a Vice Chair of CFMC’s Board. Deborah is the Executive Director of the Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate in Middletown and brings a tremendous amount of business expertise and creativity to the table. Along with committee duties, Deborah is leading the 20th Anniversary Celebration culminating in a dinner evening at The River House at Goodspeed Station on November 17 (be sure to mark your calendars). We are excited to have her back as CFMC celebrates its twentieth year.
And finally, a fond thank you, but not goodbye, to Moira Martin. It is always difficult when a board member’s term comes to an end. Moira’s term is no exception. During her years on the board, she served as Vice Chair and was one of the founding members of the 365 Fund. We are grateful for Moira’s dedication and commitment and are pleased she’ll serve on the Nominating Committee. We appreciate her supporting the Community Foundation’s mission of helping good people do great things.
