Essex Elementary School Student Enrichment Fund
Promoting and enhancing public education excellence at Essex Elementary School by supporting educational projects, enrichment programs, and other educational initiatives that are not funded through the school district’s annual budget.
A Salute to Those Who Believe in our Future and our Students
“An investment in knowledge pays the most dividends.”
Benjamin Franklin
We at the Community Foundation of Middlesex County agree with the honorable Mr. Franklin and would also add, “Any investment in our students will pay dividends beyond our wildest dreams!”
We salute those who take these adages to heart and work hard to ensure our children thrive and soar. Case in point: the Board of Directors – past and present – of the Essex Elementary School Foundation (EESF). Since its inception in 1996, this group of dedicated and caring parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors, and businesses – inspired by their own love of learning and their town – has embraced the School’s strategic vision to engage all students in a rigorous and collaborative educational program.
Working with the administration and staff at Essex Elementary School, these amazing EESF volunteers, through their ever-growing endowment, supported supplemental enrichment programs that would not otherwise be available through traditional funding from the school system budget.
Over the years, EESF has been able to enhance classrooms with state-of-the-art teaching tools and technologies, support teachers in their focus on individual learning, institute world culture days, and host authors and illustrators who inspire all. EESF even transformed a classroom into a STEM Learning Lab, and, if you can believe it, they got students to sign up for a SUMMER math program! Now that’s inspiring!
The Tradition Continues!
The Essex Elementary School Foundation and the Community Foundation of Middlesex County are pleased to partner now to continue this great work and incredible initiatives well into the future.
EESF is transitioning and becoming a new, distinct Fund at the Community Foundation, the Essex Elementary School Student Enrichment Fund at CFMC. Through this Fund, the Community Foundation, along with generous donors, looks forward to continuing to expand these programs. We are all honored and proud to carry on the tradition of education excellence by enriching the lives of not only students but everyone in our community.
We encourage everyone to support these efforts with a gift of any size. A hearty THANK YOU and SALUTE to those who care, who lead the way, and who believe in our students – our future!
