Event Description

Human trafficking is often thought of as a problem that happens “out there” – far away, not in our back yard. Yet trafficking does occur every day in Connecticut, and our youth are at risk. From unstable housing issues to social pressures to the dangers of exploitation on social media sites, helping our youth stay safe is a community responsibility.

Please join us for an informative evening with members of HART (Connecticut’s Human Anti-Trafficking Response Team).
This forum provides parents, caregivers, and the community as a whole with important information about what “Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking” is, why – even here in Connecticut – our youth may be at risk, and what we can do individually and as a community to help keep our youth safe.

The program begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by a Q&A session.

Light refreshments will be available.

This forum is sponsored by the Sari A. Rosenbaum Fund for Women & Girls and the At Risk Boys Fund at the Community Foundation of Middlesex County
