We are thrilled to welcome Lilly Person to the Community Foundation of Middlesex County! Lilly has joined our team as an Intern for the summer of 2024. Lilly, a rising Sophomore at the University of Connecticut (UCONN), is from West Chester, Pennsylvania and staying with family in Middlesex County this summer. At UCONN, Lilly is pursuing a degree in finance which she hopes will lead her to a career of working with people and problem solving. The Goodwins’ Vision Realized

Three years ago, The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in CT and the Community Foundation of Middlesex County (CFMC) came together to ensure the realization of the late Dr. Richard Goodwin’s, co-founder of TNC and land preservationist, and his spouse Esther’s vision for Burnham Brook Preserve. Their vision? To expand access to Burnham Brook Preserve as well as conservation initiatives and experiences in the Preserve region. Burnham Brook Preserve you ask? A Forever Legacy of Historic Achievement. Have you heard of Judge Constance Baker Motley? Did you know that she was a New Haven native and a 40-year Chester resident?
