Live Local Give Local Emergency Fund Grants Program

Supporting Our Community Nonprofits through Emergency Grants – NOW

The Community Foundation of Middlesex County (CFMC) is grateful for the many individuals, groups, and businesses who have stepped forward and joined Guilford Savings Bank, Pratt & Whitney, and River View Cemetery Association to support our community and our Live Local Give Local Emergency Fund.

The Live Local Give Local Emergency Fund Grants Program will support nonprofit organizations, schools, or local town services in Middlesex County.

Given the unique nature of current events, grant applications that focus on established programs and services addressing immediate and basic needs will be the priority at this time.

Funding Eligibility

  • Nonprofit organizations, schools, or local town services serving Middlesex County as a whole and/or any of its individual towns.
  • A need for funding resulting in increased, transitioned, or altered programs or services to support affected people, organizations, or communities.
  • Organizations must comply with our Nondiscrimination Policy and our Grant Agreement certification.

Program Limitations and what we ask you to consider:

Grants cannot be made to individuals; aid to individuals will be done through nonprofit organizations with established processes to assist individuals in need.

We have developed a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document – we encourage you to review this as it may answer any questions.

There is no submission deadline. This is a rolling process as long as funding is available.

Please recognize that the needs are great and funding resources may be limited. We ask that organizations consider their “ask” in light of the many needs within our community. Please understand that we will be fielding many requests from throughout our 15-town footprint and we want to provide support to as many organizations as possible.

In the future, if funding allows, requests for support for mid‐to‐long term recovery and rebuilding efforts after COVID‐19 will be considered.

What CFMC needs to know in your application:

Please be specific about the amount you need now. You can view “INSTRUCTIONS” HERE

Given the ever‐changing nature of current events, organizations will be allowed to submit additional requests as new needs arise during our rolling application period.

Application Process and Timeline

Applications are submitted via our online grant system.

Applications will be reviewed, and funding decisions made on a rolling basis, as quickly as possible.

Note: You will receive notification and a copy of your application upon submission. However, due to high volume through various internet services, there may be a delay between clicking “submit” and receiving the email containing a copy of your application. Please do not worry; we will be checking the online site frequently for submitted applications.
