Innovation and Education For the Future In Chester

A group of Chester community volunteers recognized the opportunity for innovation in the midst of a global pandemic. Recognizing the need to think “forward” of new ways and new spaces for children to learn in a safe, healthy, welcoming environment as well as an invigorating space for small community and civic meetings, Chester residents developed an Open Air Meeting Space concept for Chester Elementary School.

Thanks to the generosity of Chester residents and local businesses, the concept is well on its way to becoming a reality.

What is the project? This project creates an outdoor setting at Chester Elementary School where students can learn in an innovative, safe and healthy environment. It will also provide an invigorating, verdant space for small community or civic gatherings.

How can you help? All contributions will be administered by the Community Foundation of Middlesex County. Please make contributions by check, payable to “CFMC” and indicate in the memo line “OAMS@CES”. Credit card donations are taken on the Foundation website: www.middlesexcountycf.org, or by calling the Foundation office at 860.347.0025.
