Wondering how to end 2020 and say HAPPY NEW YEAR?
Thanks to our friends the Griffins and our CFMC Leadership Circle members, we found a great way to kick off the new year with some good news!
The Leadership Circle at Community Foundation of Middlesex County is a group of donors committed to the work of CFMC in the community and who contribute annually to support CFMC’s operations. The Griffin Family, through the Peach Pit Foundation, is a longtime member of the Leadership Circle and the sponsor of the annual luncheons for the CFMC Leadership Circle. Each year, CFMC and the Griffin Family welcome Leadership Circle members at the luncheon during which members hear about the work of CFMC and have an opportunity to learn more about the impact of grants through nonprofits serving our 15 towns.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the annual luncheons were cancelled in 2020, and together, CFMC staff and the Griffin Family brainstormed a way to honor and celebrate our Leadership Circle members and their confidence and trust in the Community Foundation. Public Libraries (18 in Middlesex County) are the cornerstone of our community – offering services, programs, and resources that connect our friends and neighbors.
Public Libraries have thought outside the box and found new ways to connect and support our communities throughout the pandemic. In recognition of the work of our Public Libraries, the Peach Pit Foundation, in partnership with CFMC, will provide a $1,000 grant to each of our 18 wonderful Middlesex County Public Libraries. The grants are unrestricted – the only stipulation is for our libraries to share some joy and cheer with the communities they serve and do something fun with the award.
