Buzzy and Harriet Levin Fund
Community… youth… sports… all passions of Buzzy and Harriet Levin.
The Levin family has a long history of working to support their community, finding ways to help families and youth lead better lives. Buzzy Levin was well known for his generosity. Though he championed many organizations, events, and issues, what most of his friends and family recall were the quiet, behind the scenes things he did for neighbors and customers – t
he small, thoughtful “gifts” of recognition to say “job well done.” Buzzy and Harriet know the importance of community in our daily lives, and they passed on this belief in community service and community welfare to their children and grandchildren.
The Levin family share a commitment to our youth – from sports to programs that encourage community service and community responsibility. The Buzzy and Harriet Levin Fund provides the family and the Community Foundation the opportunity to continue Buzzy’s legacy of helping our youth, our neighbors, and our community work together for the benefit of all. The Levin family is able to take advantage of the Community Foundation’s knowledge, network, and resources to address an issue or an opportunity as it arises, all while continuing to support the organizations which are closest to their hearts.
The Levin family believes that “Good People Doing Great Things” is not just a tag line. It is their way of life.
